About me...
I have a passion for music. I play the French horn and enjoy taking in events that celebrate music. I love how we attach emotion and memories to music. There is no better feeling than that familiar song coming on the radio and being transported to another time in your life.

My experience...
I use my combined education and work experience to lead Eclectic's team. My education includes a degree in music and business administration as well as certificates in adult education and workshop facilitation. I have worked in private, public and non-profit sector organizations.

Why I'm director of Eclectic Communications...
I took ownership of Eclectic Communications in September 2008. I was honoured to have the opportunity to take over a company with a great reputation for quality and meaningful training.

About me...
My love is horses. I don't examine why I love horses so much, I just do. I have two horses who are polar opposites in health and personality. They are constant teachers; I've learned a lot about them and even more about me over the years - some good and some not so good!

My experience...
I understand well the perspective of a student as I've studied three languages. I like to think I work well with people. I like grammar, and I like to stress the importance of confidence in writing - knowing what you wrote and why you wrote it. Therefore, you can defend your choices and counter the discouraging opinion-based edit that so often negates good, hard work.

Why I'm an associate with Eclectic Communications...
I've always had an interest and respect for language. However, what really got me interested in working with Eclectic was knowing that I'd be working with an awesome team and knowing that I could help people improve their communication skills.

Brevity is key. So many business communications are long winded and repetitive. Find the shortest, clearest way to get your message across.

About me...
I love to read. Novels, nonfiction, magazines, websites, I'll read anything. I love to learn new things and sometimes escape to new worlds. Reading widely also makes me a better writer.

My experience...
I have a BA in psychology, and I have taken many writing and editing seminars over the years. I love words and I strive to help my clients communicate with success. Through my time with Toastmasters, work and volunteer speaking, I've gained experience in teaching communication skills to others.

Why I'm an associate with Eclectic Communications...
I am a freelance writer and editor, and I am passionate about business communication. I've always enjoyed teaching, so I get to combine two of my passions with my work at Eclectic.

About me...
I've had the opportunity to live in several countries and developed an interest for how people use, learn and think of languages. Technology allows me to stay on the go with web development work. I've taught English in Europe and Asia thus keeping myself immersed in both, how people interact in the virtual, and physical worlds.

My experience...
My teaching experience is mainly in advanced Business English where I was often stumped with questions like Why are film commercials called 'trailers'? The interest that drives my curiosity in human languages is what allowed me to piece together an understanding of programming languages and pursue their evolution into areas where their presence we've all come to expect.

Why I'm an associate with Eclectic Communications...
Much of what I know and understand is traditionally thought of as self-taught. In reality my education simply came from teachers whose faces I've never seen - self-taught in this context strikes me as a misnomer. Eclectic Communications allows me to do for others what I've benefited from in my professional and personal day-to-day life.

My experience...
I have been in the sales and marketing field for 25 years. In those years, I have worked with my clients to help them solve their needs in the best possible way.

Why I'm an associate with Eclectic Communications...
My daughter is Marie, Eclectic's director. And I support her vision for this company 100%.
